Why visit Greenport this holiday season?

Greetings from the Inn at Harbor Knoll!  Fall is a wonderful season on the North Fork and as the leaves start to color and fall and the air becomes crisp and cold, we start to turn our attention to the Holiday Season.

There are many reasons to visit us at this time of the year.  The Inn is beautifully decorated and inviting. We have a warm, cozy ambiance and we even open our 'secret bar' for you to enjoy before heading out to dinner!

As Thanksgiving approaches, festivities such as pairings and special tours are happening throughout the North Fork and especially in Greenport, just steps from Harbor Knoll. Shops are donning their bright decorations and gift ideas. The streets will be lit with twinkling Christmas lights and wreaths as well. In addition to strolling the village, we recommend a visit to a few wine tasting rooms on the Long Island Wine Trail for a relaxed atmosphere this time of the year.

In Greenport, there is no shortage of things to do. Specifically on December 7-8, 2019, Shellabration will take place for its eighth year. Greenport Shellabration is a restaurant walk featuring local shellfish, wine, and beer throughout the village. For two days, wristbands will give visitors access to enjoy culinary creations of Greenport's leading chefs. Find out more about this event by visiting shellabration.li.

Harbor Knoll is located in the Village of Greenport on Long Island's East End on the North Fork. We invite you to experience the beauty of this region with plenty of things to do all year long. Tour Long Island Wine Country; visit one of the many local farms; stroll through shops and galleries; or enjoy a restaurant to suit your appetite and style. We hope you will explore more about the Inn at Harbor Knoll on our website and please reach out with any questions.

Wishing you and your families peace and happiness during the holiday season and for the New Year!
